it’s one of those things that’s just not done
– wiping one’s arse
on the leaves
of a book
and in this case
the Gideon Bible
but, when needs must,
and you’re all out of loo roll,
caught out
in flagrante delicto,
keks around feet
shuffling across the room…
still, not as bad as the time in Abu Dhabi
run out of town
for the same kinda thing,
only out there, its not bibles
in their bedside cabinets
no siree
and d’you know ?
they didn’t seem to see the funny side –
not at all.
