91. the collector
I keep them under my bed
in a box,
as you would your hamsters
or gerbils maybe,
in the land of fur-balls
& porn mags,
lost buttons & tissue-wrapped condoms
& get them out every once in a while
to look them over
and reconsider their relative merits
& place and order in my life,
and compare them to yours,
for everyone has them you know –
their own little collection
of peccadilloes.
